Frédérick Bérubé, CFA, CMA

Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Money Market

Frédérick Bérubé est responsable de la gestion des portefeuilles de marché monétaire.

Frédérick Bérubé is responsible for managing money market portfolios.

Mr. Bérubé has 17 years of industry experience and has been with the firm since its inception. Prior experiences include positions as Portfolio Manager - Money Market, and Trader - Money Market at leading Canadian investment management firms.

Mr. Bérubé graduated from HEC Montréal with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) majoring in Accounting and Finance. He later obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designations.

François Bourdon, FSA, CFA, PRM

Associate Chief Investment Officer / Vice President, Asset Allocation and Fixed Income

François Bourdon is Associate Chief Investment Officer of Fixed Income and is also a member of the Asset Allocation team. Mr. Bourdon shares responsibility for asset allocation decisions and for managing the Global Macro Fund. He also oversees the investment activities of Traditional and Non-Traditional Income strategies.

Mr. Bourdon has 16 years of industry experience and has been with the firm since its inception. Prior experiences include positions as Portfolio Manager - Quantitative Research, Director - Sales Strategies and Product Development as well as Actuarial Consultant with leading Canadian investment management and life insurance organizations.

Mr. Bourdon graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Mathematics (BMath) with a major in Actuarial Sciences. He later became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA). He also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designations.

Derek Brown, CFA

Assistant Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Derek Brown is a member of the Tactical Fixed Income team and is an assistant portfolio manager for the Tactical Fixed Income and Absolute Bond Yield strategies, as well as for Real Return Bond portfolios.

Mr. Brown has 8 years of industry experience and has been with the firm since 2010. Prior experiences include Associate Trader and Proprietary Trader positions at major Canadian financial and investment management firms.

Mr. Brown graduated from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm), majoring in Finance and later received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from McGill University. He has also received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Gaétan Dupuis, M.Sc.

Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Gaétan Dupuis is a member of the Active Fixed Income team and is jointly responsible for the management of the Active Fixed Income Universe and Long-Term investment strategies.

Mr. Dupuis has 21 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 2001. Prior experiences include positions as Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income, Bond Trader and Analyst at major Canadian investment management and life insurance organizations.

Mr. Dupuis graduated from the Université du Québec à Montréal with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) majoring in Economics. He later received a Master of Science in Finance (MSc) from the Université de Sherbrooke.

David Frei, CFA

Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Infrastructure Bonds

David Frei is the lead manager for the Infrastructure Fixed Income strategy and is a member of this strategy’s Investment Committee.

Mr. Frei has 13 years of investment experience and joined the firm in 2011. Prior experiences include positions as Senior Manager - Project Finance and Director - Securitization and Structured Finance with major Canadian infrastructure and investment brokerage organizations.

Mr. Frei graduated from Queen’s University with an Honors Bachelor of Commerce (BComm). He also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Christopher Laurie, MBA, CFA

Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Christopher Laurie is a member of the Tactical Fixed Income team and is the lead portfolio manager for the Tactical Fixed Income and Absolute Bond Yield strategies, as well as for Real Return Bond portfolios.

Mr. Laurie has 24 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 1994. Prior experiences include positions as Managing Director, as Vice President - Fixed income, and as a Bond Trader at leading Canadian investment management firms.

Mr. Laurie graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (BSc), majoring in Electrical Engineering. He later received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Western Ontario and also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Jean-Guy Mérette

Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Jean-Guy Mérette is a member of the Active Canadian Fixed Income team and, in addition, is responsible for managing various fixed income portfolios, including indexed and customized mandates.

Mr. Mérette has 24 years of industry experience and has been with the firm since its inception. Prior experiences include positions as Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income, Trader - Fixed income and Vice President - Canadian and International Bonds at leading North American investment management firms.

Mr. Mérette graduated from HEC Montréal with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), majoring in Finance and Economics.

Catherine Payne, CFA

Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Catherine Payne is responsible for managing corporate bond, high yield bond, preferred share and convertible bond portfolios. In addition, she is responsible for corporate credit analysis for investment-grade fixed income portfolios.

Ms. Payne has 18 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 2003. Prior experiences include positions as Portfolio Manager, Senior Credit Analyst, and Assistant Vice President at major Canadian investment management, credit rating and brokerage firms.

Ms. Payne graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm). She later received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Jane-Marie Rocca

Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Jane-Marie Rocca is a member of the Structured Fixed Income team and is responsible for managing immunized, liability driven and customized mandates for financial institutions, pension plans and foundations.

Ms. Rocca has 27 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 1984 where she has held number of roles managing fixed income portfolios.

Ms. Rocca graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) majoring in Commerce and Economics.

Martin Roy, FCIA, FSA

Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Liability Driven Investment

Martin Roy is a member of the Structured Fixed Income team and is responsible for managing immunized, liability driven and customized mandates for financial institutions, pension plans and foundations.

Mr. Roy has 29 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 1999. Prior experiences include positions as Vice President - Risk Management and Actuarial Consultant at major Canadian investment management and life insurance organizations.

Mr. Roy graduated from Université Laval with a Bachelor of Science (BSc), majoring in Actuarial Sciences. He later became a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) and a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries (FCIA).

Art Yeates, MBA, CFA

Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income

Art Yeates is a member of the Active Fixed Income team and is a senior portfolio manager responsible for the management of the Active Fixed Income Universe and long-term investment strategies. He also contributes to the management of the Infrastructure Bond strategy.

Mr. Yeates has 26 years of industry experience and has been with the firm and a predecessor since 1993. Prior experiences include positions as Fixed Income, Portfolio Manager and Analyst at major Canadian investment management and life insurance organizations.

Mr. Yeates graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science (BSc). He later received a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from McMaster University and also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
